With the Right Teachers, Anything is Possible
It can be hard to teach a child anything. But we are here to help. With a specialized curriculum, helping to teach young children something that has been scientifically proven to help progress their growth, Rubik's Cubed has your child's best interests at heart.
What We Do
Here at Rubik's Cubed we will teach your child how to solve the fabled Rubik's cube. Using the methods and algorithms we learned to solve the cube ourselves, we will teach your child how to do it in a way that fits their needs and wants. Below are some of the benefits of children learning how to solve the Rubik's cube.

Problem Solving
The Rubik’s cube is a puzzle. The algorithms to solve the cube focus on breaking down the different parts of the cube and solving each piece to then solve the whole cube.

Tactility
Jigsaw puzzles, blocks, and Rubik's cube can provide children with a satisfying tactile sensation. Puzzle toys can also help improve their focus as these let them center their attention on one activity, especially for fidgety kids.

Reaction
If someone is good at speedcubing, they have to react quickly to different scrambles on the cube. Algorithms can almost always be applied, but the selection of which algorithm is the decision. Some of the best cubers can make 3 moves per second.

Memory
There are several algorithms that are needed to solve the cube as was mentioned above, and to solve the cube without looking at the algorithms, memorization is necessary.

Here is an example algorithm we would teach on how to solve the second layer of the cube.
Built for Creatives, by Creatives
Our Rubik's cube teaching plan is all about making learning fun for kids! We use playful activities and easy-to-follow steps to break down the complex algorithms, so they can grasp everything comfortably. With interactive activities and visuals, we adjust each program so to fit the needs of every kid. This approach boosts their confidence and sparks a love for puzzles that can last a lifetime!

About Me
My name is Deven Sood, and I am currently a student at the Pingry School. I learned how to solve a Rubik's Cube in an enrichment class taught by Ryan Fitzpatrick (yes, the Harvard educated quarterback). He was playing for the New York Jets, at the time, and led a course on how to solve the cube at my elementary school. I was immediately riveted by the way he taught, and I mastered the cube quickly. He would hold competitions in class and I won first place in a cubing competition and he gave me a signed football and his cleat. He inspired me to have a passion for Rubik's ever since. I have learned how to solve all types of cubes, and my collection has grown to almost twenty! I have mastered the beginner's method and can teach it smoothly and in a way a young student can understand. I love teaching people the method because I know how good it feels to solve the cube!
